Earthquake monitor v1.81 released

Just on the edge of 2016 a new update (v1.81) for the Earthquake monitor has been deployed. This release fixes some minor bugs and code to be compliant with WordPress recommendations. Also the plugin is prepared for internationalization. A dutch language pack is included and the template (*.pot) file to create your own language pack is added.

You can send other language packs to me and I will add them in the code. Credits ofcourse to the translator!

    1. Hi John,

I have to admit.. i don’t .. sorry. I don’t get e-mail updates when something is posted there. I will try to take a look at it more often.
I also have released V1.82 that has the timezone wish included.

  1. Cris, the plugin was working fine up until few days ago when it started acting up (not showing actual earthquakes) and today it doesn’t appear on the main page. Do you think it has something to do with the USGS way of transmitting data? I hope it is not something on my site 🙁 I figured I have you check it just in case.
    Thank you so much 🙂
    John

  2. Aloha cris,

Pluggin’ in your plugin in upper Puna, about midway between Hale’amau’mau and Leilani. Haven’t figured quite how to tweak it but mahalo for your contribution in these tectonic times!

    1. Thank you very much Darren. And in case you are in the disaster area I wish you good luck and all the best in these difficult days.

      1. Thanks cris. A lot of folks I’ve shared your good work with have found it very useful. When I input ‘Hawaii’ in the filter it seems to cut some local reports (M2.5 past day). Leaving filter blank seems to not cut them, albeit show reports from around the Pacific. Personally, I like that context with all this Pacific activity. However, I wonder if you might suggest what filter setting would make reporting exclusive to Hawaii?

  3. Hi Darren,

Turned out the filter was buggy. I have released a new update thanks to your feedback. Please try v1.85 and let me know if it’s ok now. You are using the filter correctly.
